Amazon Prime Day Deal: Buy a Meta Quest 2 VR Headset, Get a Bonus Amazon Gift Card

To this day, the Meta (formerly Oculus) Quest 2 is still the best value in VR gaming. At $ 299.99, it’s hundreds of dollars cheaper than any of its closest competitors. If that wasn’t enough, Amazon is here to sweeten the deal just for Prime Day sales. Purchase either the 128GB or 256GB Meta Quest 2 VR headset and you’ll get a bonus $ 25 Amazon gift card. That does not sound like much, but that’s essentially 8% cashback on the 128GB model and 6% cashback on the 256GB model. If you have an Amazon Prime Card, you’ll get an extra 5% cashback on top of that. The savings add up.

So what does $ 300 get you in a VR headset? Surprisingly, quite a lot! The Meta Quest 2 VR headset boasts a high resolution display, phenomenal inside-out tracking controllers that do not require base stations, a huge library of VR games and, best of all, the ability to play without being tethered to a PC.

I can personally confirm that the the Meta Quest 2 performs amazingly well in Beat Saber, the single best selling VR game on the market (and for very good reason). I switched from the original Oculus Rift with triple base station setup and, in my opinion, the Quest 2’s inside-out tracking is as good as or better. I’ve logged close to 1,000 hours in Beat Saber and can clear all the official songs on Expert + difficulty, even on the Quest 2. I can honestly say that I’ve never regretted picking this over the far more expensive Valve Index, HTC Vive , or HP Reverb G2 (and I’ve tried them all).

The gift card deal runs during Amazon Prime Day (s) only, July 12-13. This is an actual physical gift card that will be mailed separately and can be used on anything at Amazon.com.
