A key aspect of ‘Round‘is its focus on character development. The filmmaker and the writing duo find something special in creating understanding between audiences and the people that inhabit these stories. “For me, it’s making sure the characters track and that there’s depth to them, and that even the villains in a story are sympathetic,” Baena told the Los Angeles Times in the spring. “And that everyone kind of has their moment, and we’re able to connect to them,”
The project relies on an outstanding cast, including Aubrey Plaza (Baena’s wife, who starred in his directorial debut, “Life After Beth”). She already established herself as someone who can skillfully balance genres with a fantastic performance in “Emily the Criminal. “Spine Me Round”Also stars Alessandro Nivola, Molly Shannon, Zach Woods, Ayden Mayeri, Ben Sinclair, Tim Heidecker, Debby Ryan, Fred Armisenand Lil Rey Howery.
