Watch Prince George Hold the Wimbledon Trophy in an Adorable Video

After Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios at the Wimbledon men’s championship, Kate Middleton handed him the winner’s trophy. Following the ceremony, Djokovic met with Kate, Prince William, and Prince George at the All England Tennis Lawn Club, and Djokovic showed his trophy to the young prince.

“First Wimbledon,” Prince William says, pointing to his son.
“First Wimbledon, I heard!” Djokovic replies. “How’d you like it?”
“Great,” Prince George says, giving the Wimbledon champion two thumbs up.
“Wanna touch the trophy? Here, you wanna hold it? It’s not too heavy,” Djokovic says.
“Don’t drop it!” Prince William says with a laugh.

As he grabbed the trophy, Kate reached over to make sure the top did not fall off as George tilted it to see the names engraved on the side. Soon, Kate takes the trophy back from her eldest son and hands it back to Djokovic.

Kate typically attends the famed grass tennis tournament multiple times over the course of the two weeks, and this year was no different. She was in attendance in the royal box three times; but the last time was undoubtedly special for the mom-of-three, as she brought Prince George with her.

Kate is a lifelong fan of tennis, and has definitely passed her love for the sport to her children. She even enlisted eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer to teach Prince George how to play tennis a few years ago.

“At that stage it’s all about just touching the ball, it’s already good. Same with my boys. I think I have a little advantage that I actually spent some time, you know, with him,” Federer said in 2019. “I ‘ m the only player he’s ever met. Then you have a little head start in who is your favorite player. “
