AC Milan’s preseason campaign began six days ago when the squad met at Milanello to kick off the new season, and Yacine Adli was among the new faces.
The midfielder was bought from Bordeaux last summer but remained their on loan for the 2021-22 campaign, one that resulted in Les Girondins being relegated to the second division, but on a personal not it was a further year of apprenticeship in Ligue 1 for the 21-year-old.
According to MilanNews, Adli has shown himself to be very concentrated so far at Milanello, making a good impression. Yesterday his first official interview as a Milan player was also published and that also generated a positive reaction.
During that interview, the former PSG man spoke about the honor of joining a club like Milan – one he could not reject – while he also reflected on the problems he faced in the last season at Bordeaux that allowed him to grow as a player.
He even perfectly the question about his preferred role by stating that he simply wishes to play, be that as a midfielder or an attacking midfielder, with the important thing being to take the field and help the team.
Adli also talked about his childhood dream: to play in the Champions League. He will have the chance to do just that after some valuable weeks acclimatising to his new surroundings and getting up to speed with exactly what Stefano Pioli expects from him. The initial signs, however, are good.
Sil Some silky stuff from Yacine Adli…
