Uber Eats delivery man stops college basketball game after walking onto court to find customer

Just when you think we’ve seen it all in sports, Wednesday night’s Loyola Chicago-Duquesne college basketball game reminded us why that will never be the case.

With 16:30 left in the second half of the game, Loyola-Chicago had the ball down near the right baseline when an Uber Eats delivery guy waltzed onto the court looking for someone to claim the McDonald’s he had.

An official timeout was called as the fielder was carted off the field, and the game announcers couldn’t believe their eyes.

“Someone got on the floor on the other side. Are you looking for an Uber Eats delivery or something? He’s got some McDonald’s on him. I’m actually not kidding,” the play-by-play announcer said.

“This has got to be one of the all-time greats,” added the color commentator.

When the play-by-play announcer saw the Uber Eats logo on the bag, his suspicions were confirmed.

“I think that’s what’s happening!” he shouted.

When the TV stations watched the video replay, they were left shocked at what had happened.

“This guy’s in the corner. Would he deliver McDonald’s to someone on the field? Can we rule that out?” the color commentator said laughing.

“Maybe I’ll raise my hand. I’m getting a little hungry. Bring it over here.”

And perhaps the funniest part of this incident: The messenger was still looking for his recipient of the fast food when he was seen walking around the arena with the bag and drink in hand.

“He’s still looking!” the color commentator said as cameras showed him talking to a spectator while walking down an aisle.

The one thing we can say about this delivery guy is that he’ll definitely go out of his way to get you your food—even if it means stopping a basketball game by walking onto the court.
