“I like Corey’s attitude, his drive and he’s got a lot of passion that he showed today. I thought he and the team and the car showed a lot today. You want such a man with the pedigree and passion that he has to get the opportunity he is looking for, and I think there is a long way to go now. ”
He further stated, “I’m so happy to watch them race hard but also race together. I want to be 1-2 instead of how it ended. He’s been around a long time and he knows the ins and outs, and his performance can do a lot more for that. him now than the result will show. ”
Winning the race on Sunday could have been Corey’s chance to get into the playoffs.

Corey’s season, overall, has been pretty bad this year. Both his performance and his teams are good. Because he sits on the sidelines with a 31st playoff rank, his 2022 stint could end the regular season.
Finishing 34th or less in the last few races hasn’t exactly helped him climb the standings. However, Spire Motorsports, the team he races on, has its own share of reliability issues throughout the season. So his bad result doesn’t necessarily translate to him as a bad driver.
