UPDATE: Following Saturday’s running of the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard, Our Motorsports and driver Brett Moffitt have agreed to part ways.

“In 2020, Chris Our approached me to race the first four races of the season to get his new NASCAR Xfinity Series team off the ground,” said Brett Moffitt. “Two years later, I’ve had the opportunity to watch this team grow into a three-car organization. Our Motorsports is like family to me, and I can’t thank Chris, Mary, and all the men and women at Our Motorsports enough for the opportunity to be together over the past few years. I wish them all the success in the future and hopefully our paths will cross again someday.”

“Brett has been with us since the inception of our NASCAR Xfinity team and I can’t thank him enough for his efforts over the past three years,” said team owner Chris Our. “We wish nothing but the best for Brett and his family.”

Moffitt made 80 starts while with us with 21 top-10 finishes. A replacement driver for team number 02 will be named in the near future.

Original Post (8-1-2022): As AJ Allmendinger celebrated his first Xfinity Series win with burnouts at the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit, Brett Moffitt climbed from No. 02 Our Motorsports Chevrolet on pit road wondering when his next race will be.

Moffitt still kept that smile on when asked about his plans for the rest of the 2022 Xfinity Series season. There are currently no plans. Moffitt is missing out on the Our Motorsports ride because he doesn’t bring a lot of sponsorship money to the table.

“This is it,” Moffitt said. “Here it is. It’s tough. Obviously it’s not a perfect situation or what I planned, but I’ve had a lot of great experiences with Our Motorsports, Chris Our and the whole Our family. They’ve given me a lot of opportunities.”
