Trackhouse Racing Co-owner at Ross Chastain’s NASCAR Win in Talladega: “This Is Way Easier Than I Thought”

NASCAR is in Alabama for the tenth round of the Cup Series. A furious last moment saw Ross Chastain cross the finish line before anyone at the Talladega Superspeedway. The Trackhouse Racing driver used his intelligence to get out of the chaotic last moment on the oval circuit.

This is NASCAR’s first visit to the sport’s biggest track this year. While the 2.66-mile racing track was about to finish line, Trackhouse Racing saw its driver get its second win of the season.

The race opened in the final round of wins with the first round of Talladega Bubba Wallace’s win. The 23XI driver seemed to be in a different mode when he climbed the first stage. However, in the second episode, it’s about William Byron of Hendrick Motorsports.

William Byron took the second round win ahead of his teammates at Hendrick Motorsports, Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott. However, none of the winners on stage could make up for the latter as Bubba dropped to 17th, while Byron finished his career in 15th position.

Erik Jones leads the race ahead of Kyle Larson. Ross took the lead as Erik walked away to cover Kyle in the lead. After the win, Chastain made his signature celebration by riding in his car with a broken watermelon. It was the second win this season for Ross and his team as the Trackhouse Racing driver got his first win at COTA, Austin last month.
