Best NASCAR Cup Series odds

The favorite: Chase Elliott (+200)

Elliott has been the best driver in the NASCAR Cup Series this year and the numbers back it up.

Top No. 9 cars in some of the most important statistics that track driver performance. Elliott leads in wins (five), average driver rating (98.7), quality passes (2,327) and average running position (11).

The 26-year-old is also leading in laps led (803) and fifth in fastest lap run (402).

Elliott has been inconsistent of late, however, and his grip on the top spot has loosened somewhat. He finished 20th in Charlotte, 21st in Las Vegas and 14th in Miami.

His performance this year places him third in the Cup Series standings with 4,093 season points and first in playoff points with 46. He is tied for first with 19 finishes inside the top 10 while also winning six episode so far, tying Kyle Larson, Joey Logano and Ross Chastain for second most.

Other NASCAR Cup Series options

Best value: Joey Logano (+255)

Logano’s points tally is the best of them all and remains a solid bet for those looking to unseat Elliott.

The 32-year-old has collected at least 25 points in 10 of his last 13 races, earning seven top-10 finishes during that span. He went 17 races without a win before taking the checkered flag in Las Vegas recently.

Logano leads the way with 4,106 season points and 26 playoff points. He hasn’t had as many top-five and top-10 finishes as his contemporaries, but he is fifth with 597 laps led and tied for third with six stage wins.

The veteran looks hot at the perfect time.

Driver to watch: Ross Chastain (+400)

The last two weeks have done wonders for Chastain’s chances of winning the Cup Series.

The No. 1 car earned 80 points by taking a pair of second-place finishes in Las Vegas and Miami. He has now accumulated five top-10 finishes in the last seven races, which explains why his odds of winning have shortened from +600 to +400.

Chastain is second in season points with 4,101 and third in playoff points with 21. He has accumulated an impressive 242 over his last seven races.

The 29-year-old has more top-five finishes (13) than any other driver and is tied for first with 19 top-10 finishes. He could push himself closer to the front of the pack if he continues to find similar success.
