Well, the moment may finally be here. There is something that, whatever team they support, all NASCAR fans are praying for, desires to happen. One thing is, of course, Dodge’s return to the sport.
Even if brand ownership is overseas, Dodge really is, and always will be American. It’s history with stock car racing is also pretty rich, pretty historic.

Soon, however, this disappointment could be a joy because NASCAR’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve O’Donnell, suggested recently, the fourth OEM is almost at the finish line.
“We’re in daily dialogue with one (OEM) particularly near the finish line, depending on who you ask,” he said. Said O’Donnell. “It’s very good for the sport if we can get that. But I think, if we could get to five, that would be awesome.
NASCAR is open to future electrification using the Next Gen platform
Steve O’Donnell revealed the main reason why NASCAR moved from the Gen 6 platform to the Next Gen.
“This is part of the reason why we went to the Next Gen platform is to drive interest. As you know, there’s a huge push for electrification and where that’s going and how it fits in with where our platform is,” he said. he said.
“So it’s one of the reasons, we’re also open to that, to attract new OEMs.”
