Arsenal have fended off Newcastle and agreed terms for a move of DKK 13.1 million. £ for a LaLiga sensation, although the player now has a tough decision to make after his side accepted a straight bid from a European giant with a stellar reputation.

The Gunners restored their five-point lead over Man City on Sunday after a thrilling 3-2 win over Man Utd. Arsenal are chasing their first league title since the unbeaten season of 2003/04 and the majority of the credit for their remarkable progress must go to Mikel Arteta and Edu.

Arsenal have bought extremely well in the market of late, while Arteta continues to work wonders with those already on the books.

His hand has already been strengthened this month by the arrival of former Brighton striker Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian made his debut from the bench on Sunday when he replaced Gabriel Martinelli and gives his manager a clear and Premier League-proven option in attack.

Polish centre-half Jakub Kiwior will soon follow Trossard into the Emirates. Fabrizio Romano reported that the 22-year-old will be officially unveiled later today (Monday) and a five-and-a-half-year deal running until 2028 will be penned.

Italian side Spezia will receive £17.5m, which could eventually rise to £22m via add-ons. The left winger will provide crucial cover for regular starter Gabriel Magalhaes.

But while these two traits are with the present in mind, the athletic report an agreement much for the future is now in the center.

Arsenal hit Ivan Fresneda deal as big decision looms

They stated that Arsenal have ‘agreed terms’ for a £13.1m move. to Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda.

The 18-year-old right-back was also on Newcastle’s radar, although the Magpies have been successfully fended off.

However, the takeover is not straightforward after it was claimed that German giants Borussia Dortmund have also agreed the same deal with Valladolid. As such, the decision on who to join now rests solely with Fresneda.

Whichever club he chooses, the outlet reported that Fresneda will still return to Valladolid on an immediate six-month loan.

Fresneda has established himself as a regular starter for Valladolid this term despite his young age and has been praised for his technical ability on the ball.

He is the epitome of the modern full-back who is as potent going forward as he is solid at the back. Whichever of Arsenal or Dortmund he chooses, he will pull off a major coup.

On that front, his decision is not easy to make.

Arsenal are on course to become Premier League champions and look almost guaranteed to play in next season’s Champions League already. Dortmund, meanwhile, are in sixth place in the Bundesliga.

But few clubs have a better reputation for developing young players than Dortmund. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham all became bona fide superstars in just a few years at the club.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long before we find out who the Spaniard has chosen. Yes, the athletic concluded that his decision will be revealed at some point on Monday.
